'The Decision`, the short film starring Lakshmi Manchu, is out. The same has been written and directed by Srinu Pandranki.

The director was inspired by a true story that happened in 2014 to pen this. Set in Washington, the 21-minute short film narrates the story of a young woman who has to make a critical decision. The film narrates a story about a woman who has suffered an abortion earlier. While she`s having another experience of pregnancy, she is told that the child is likely to suffer Down-Syndrome. The decision revolves around this very aspect.

Lakshmi Manchu says, 'Doing a short film like this one is always very challenging for an artist to enact a role with such difficult sides. As a mother, I really connected with the film because it emotionally touched me deeply and I hope every parent who watches this movie gets something out of this. It was amazing working with the entire team and I think the location brought an extra depth to the film'.

"The premiere of the same was held today at Prasad Labs. The event was graced by eminent personalities like Manchu Manoj, Adivi Sesh, Vamshi Chaganti, Singer Usha, Music Director Achu, Abhijeeth Poondla, Sudhakar Komakula, Arjun Kalyan, Poojitha Ponnada, Nandini Reddy, Sai Rajesh, Satish Kasetty, Raj Madiraju and others. They congratulated Lakshmi Manchu for her excellent performance and hailed the short film as a poignant and heart wrenching tale about parents who discover that their child would be born with a rare medical condition. 'The Decision' moved its audience, created a lasting impact on them and was appreciated for its drama," the short film's spokesperson says.

It's produced by Vishwa Prasad and has music by Anup Rubens.
