'The Decision`, the short film starring Lakshmi Manchu, is out. The same has been written and directed by Srinu Pandranki.

The director was inspired by a true story that happened in 2014 to pen this. Set in Washington, the 21-minute short film narrates the story of a young woman who has to make a critical decision. The film narrates a story about a woman who has suffered an abortion earlier. While she`s having another experience of pregnancy, she is told that the child is likely to suffer Down-Syndrome. The decision revolves around this very aspect.

Lakshmi Manchu says, 'Doing a short film like this one is always very challenging for an artist to enact a role with such difficult sides. As a mother, I really connected with the film because it emotionally touched me deeply and I hope every parent who watches this movie gets something out of this. It was amazing working with the entire team and I think the location brought an extra depth to the film'.

They congratulated Lakshmi Manchu for her excellent performance and hailed the short film as a poignant and heart wrenching tale about parents who discover that their child would be born with a rare medical condition. 'The Decision' moved its audience, created a lasting impact on them and was appreciated for its drama," the short film's spokesperson says.
