To mark Sankranthi, Lakshmi Manchu hosted a lunch for 50 children belonging to 38 government schools in Hyderabad. The NGO 'Teach For India', of which Lakshmi is an active member, coordinated the luncheon.

The actress was seen conducting cultural activities for the children with the help of volunteers. This is not the first time that the Manchu lady has done such a thing. In the past, she hosted such events at Five Star hotels for govt school kids. This time, however, she did it at her Film Nagar residence.

"I feel very happy when I spend time with such talented children. Beyond all this, I hope we can also teach our next generation to treat everyone equally, irrespective of their economic background. That is one of my main motives to organize such events and hopefully, it will also change the mindset of the people," she says.
