Hailing from a very poor family Lakshmi folk song ‘Yava Deshada Gandu Ivanu Rangeela….at the Sarigamapa Little Champ 14th season has made Nadabrahma Hamsalekha, Mahaguru of the singing reality show to come down from his seat and bless the girl.

Lakshmi eve touched the hearts of Vijayaprakash and music director Arjun Janya. Within seconds of Lakshmi singing the nod came from Hamsalekha shows her ability.

The truth of this poor girl Lakshmi is that her parents could not make it from Yeshwanthpur railway station to the singing reality show because they are new to Bengaluru and could not trace the address. Lakshmi sister in law accompanied this promising singer.

Hailing from Hukkeri taluk Ghodageri village Lakshmi is daughter Ramappa and Sangeetha. Coolie is the earning of this family. She is studying in 9th standard at SMN High school. She is very good at her academics like in singing and painting. Lakshmi elder brother Maruthi is a tailor.

Lakshmi has no background in singing. She learnt singing folk songs from a mobile phone. In one of the folk music festival in her home town the song Yava Deshada Gandu….was rendered by a folk singer and that has attracted Lakshmi to pick for the singing at ‘Sarigamapa Little Champ 14’.
