In a shocking incident, a man shot his cousin sister to death after she failed to make round chappatis. The incident happened on Monday in Uttar Pradesh's Kheri district.

The accused, identified as Sonu, who is reportedly a BJP leader, has been quarreling with his sister over the past few days over the shape of her rotis. Unable to stand the harassment, the victim, identified as Suman, returned to her maternal house. The accused dropped by Suman's place on Monday night in an inebriated state and started fighting with her for the same reason. Soon after, he took out his father's licensed gun and shot her on the head, killing her on the spot.

The accused reportedly fled from the spot as soon as he shot her, while the police are on the lookout for him. The victim's body has been sent for autopsy.
