Lady Superstar Nayanthara's 'Gold' faces a new hurdle in release - Find out

Nayanthara was last seen in the triangular love story 'Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal' directed by Vignesh Shivan. Now, her next film 'Gold' is gearing up for a grand theatrical release this week. The movie, directed by Alphonse Puthren, is slated to hit the screens in Malayalam and Tamil.

Prithviraj plays the film's lead along with Lady Superstar. Gold was announced to release in September initially but was later postponed due to technical issues. It was pushed to hit the screens on December 1 in both languages. The latest is that Gold faces a new struggle in the release. It is produced by Prithviraj Productions & Magic Frames.

The Tamil dubbed version of Gold will now release on December 2 (Friday) while the Malayalam version is all set for release tomorrow. As per the sources, the delay is because of the delay in the censor process of the dubbed version. Interestingly, the Malayalam version is releasing with English subtitles in select cities in Tamil Nadu tomorrow.

Gold also features Roshan Mathew, Deepti Sati, Ajmal Ameer, Chemban Vinod Jose, Vinay Forrt, Saiju Kurup, Shammi Thilakan and Sabumon Abdusamad in pivotal roles. Alphonse Puthren himself has taken care of editing, stunts, animation, VFX, colour grading, screenwriting and direction in this film which has music by Rajesh Murugesan.
