Woah! Lady Superstar Nayanthara's 'Mookuthi Amman 2' director officially announced

Lady Superstar Nayanthara, who captivated audiences with her portrayal of the titular deity in the 2020 blockbuster 'Mookuthi Amman', is set to reprise her role in the highly anticipated sequel. While the announcement of 'Mookuthi Amman 2' has been creating buzz for months, it’s now confirmed that RJ Balaji, who co-directed and starred in the original, will not be involved this time around.

Vels Films International, the production house behind the first film, will once again bankroll the sequel. In a major development, the iconic director Sundar C has been brought on board to helm the project. Known for his expertise in the fantasy-comedy genre, Sundar C will take over the directing duties of 'Mookuthi Amman 2' after completing his current film, 'Gangers'.

In addition to Nayanthara’s production company, Rowdy Pictures, Sundar C’s Avni Cinemax, B4U Motion Pictures, and Ivy Entertainment have joined hands to bring 'Mookuthi Amman 2' to life. Fans are eagerly awaiting further updates on the cast and storyline, but the combination of Nayanthara and Sundar C has already generated immense excitement.
