Yash, the star of the blockbuster KGF series, is gearing up for his next big project, Toxic, which was announced in December 2023. After finalizing the cast, the production team began filming in August 2024. The film stars Kiara Advani as the leading lady, with Nayanthara, known as the Lady Superstar, playing a significant role. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is currently being filmed in London.
Today, Nayanthara shared an exciting update from the film's set on her Instagram story, posting a picture of her boot shoe as she began shooting her scenes for Toxic. Her caption, All you need is confidence & boots, quickly went viral on social media. Fans are buzzing with excitement, speculating that the vintage-style boots hint at some action-packed sequences for her character.
Toxic is described as a period action film set against the backdrop of the drug mafia. Produced by KVN Productions, the film is slated for a theatrical release on April 10, 2025. In addition to Toxic, Nayanthara has several other projects in the pipeline, including Test, Mannangatti Since 1960, and an untitled film where she will star opposite Kavin.
