Our protagonist in the movie `Ladies and gentleman' who after heavy boozing starts to hear a heartrending story of an young man ready to commit suicide. After patiently giving a hearing, he retorts to his sidekick `Who is this guy talking to me? What is he saying about?' Exactly these are the questions that pop up in   your mind after watching this pathetically made Siddhique film, undoubtedly the worst in his career studded with super hits.

Clad in imprecise scripts laid with plenty of twists that we can figure out miles away, plenty of moral lectures, confusions and stale jokes,  Siddique seems to be unaware of the fact that Mollywood viewers have started to see more quality stuffs from the new generation, which is sure to make his  mandatory theories of film making a bit too old and stale. And the result may be that this exorbitantly budgeted movie may well become another big debacle like Confidant's earlier venture `Casanova'..

The movie has Mohanlal  as Chandrabose,  a habitual drunkard, who starts showing all sorts of tantrums if he is denied  the bottle for awhile. He happens to enter into the lives of a few IT professionals through Sharath (Krish J Sathar) whom he rescues from a suicide attempt.  Bose with the help of Sharath's friends Anu (Mamta Mohandas), Chinnu Kunjunni (Mithra Kurian) and Sharath's sister  Joe (Padmapriya), spells wonders and built a new team who starts  a new IT firm. No prize for guessing that this firm is sure to catapult as the leader in the business within a few days. Boss's halo and his wisdom starts bringing in plenty of followers and fans for him, mostly the women folk. They identifies that Boss  is not in the verge of a divorce from his wife Achu(Meera Jasmine) but he turned an alcoholic only to forget the nasty accident that took her away from him. How our hero of virtues is given a new path of life by the ladies who got to success with his help forms the second half, which can be a test of your patience.

The movie is a mishmash of many sequences lifted from movies like Azhakan, Hallo and Innathe chinthavishayam', but never even shows the quality of any of its originals . Siddique's script lacks logic and listing the pitfalls will be a tedious task.  Satheesh Kurup's visuals are fine but Ratheesh Vegha fails to offer any impressive songs that may work in favour of the movie. So are the  BG Scores by Deepak Dev,

Mohanlal finds it difficult to shoulder a script that is imperfect with a poor climax. Debutante Krish J Sathar has the looks but fails miserably in the dubbing part.  Among the heroines, Meera Jasmine looks jaded and her make-up looks unimaginably loud. Mamta Mohandas is okay but is unimpressive in the offered dress code. Padmapriya and Mithra doesn't have anything important to do than to shower praises on the hero. Kalabhavan Shajon offers some relief amidst this `drama' and gets some applause.

It seems to be the time for the veterans to think seriously about bringing in changes in their decade old making style. Or else films like `ladies and Gentleman' will happen leaving you in disbelief about  what happened to filmmakers like Siddhique, who once perfectly  read the pulse of  the viewers to bring out his seven magical  hits .

'Ladies and Gentlemen' may not completely satisfy a die hard fan of Mohanlal. And for the rest there is precious little to offer.
