On Friday, seven soldiers died when a vehicle carrying them rolled down into a gorge near Shyok river. Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan has expressed his grief over the incident.
"Ladakh is known for critical climatic conditions and is surrounded by snowy mountains. I am deeply disturbed by yesterday's tragedy," the Jana Sena Party chief said.
He added that human lives are most precious and the lives of soldiers are most valuable. "What can we offer them and how can we repay the sacrifices of the soldiers? It is a tragedy beyond words," the 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu' star said.
He added that the Centre and the state governments of the States from where the soldiers hail provide the families of the dead soldiers with financial assistance liberally. "I also request that it is the responsibility of all Indians along with the governments to take care of martyred families," he added.
