The trailer of the Telugu version of 'Laal Singh Chaddha' was released at an event in Hyderabad on Sunday. Directed by Advait Chandan, the film is an Indian adaptation of Tom Hanks' 'Forrest Gump' (1994). The film releases on August 11.
Speaking on the occasion, Chiranjeevi described 'LSC' as a feel-good movie that has got an arresting array of scenes. "I am proud to be presenting this film in Telugu. It is difficult to do the kind of roles that Aamir Khan plays," the 'Acharya' actor said, suggesting that he prefers to play it safe.
Chiru recalled that Aamir Khan had told him about the project while at a Kyoto airport in Japan in 2019. "When he told me he was remaking 'Forrest Gump', I was thrilled. I told him I will be eagerly waiting to watch the movie," Chiru recounted.
Chiru opined that acting workshops should be held before taking a film to set in Tollywood. "That would help our actors get a better grip on the script," the 'Bholaa Shankar' actor added.
Naga Chaitanya said that his character in 'LSC' will be seen for 20 to 30 minutes. "Usually, southern actors picked for Hindi films are asked to adapt to the nativity of the Hindi characters, be it their body language or mien. But, in 'LSC', I hail from Guntur and my name is Balaraju. I was asked to be myself and behave like a Telugu person," the 'Thank You' actor revealed.
Aamir Khan assured us that 'LSC' doesn't have any adult scenes. "This is a family entertainer," he added.
