Several filmmakers were forced to postpone their films which were set to release in early 2022 due to the recent surge number of Covid-19 cases. So naturally, it was expected that Aamir Khan might also alter the release date of his highly anticipated drama 'Laal Singh Chadda'. However, the recent update from Aamir Khan Productions has made it clear that the film will release on 14th of April, as previously decided.

A statement shared by the production house on Instagram read, "Aamir Khan Productions' Laal Singh Chaddha's release date stands as Baisakhi, 14th April 2022, contrary to some misleading stories. We once again would like to thank everyone who has supported us in the journey of making this film. Produced by Viacom18 Studios and Aamir Khan Productions, Laal Singh Chaddha is directed by Advait Chandan with music by Pritam and lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The film has been adapted by Atul Kulkarni."

This implies that 'Laal Singh Chadda' will clash with the much hyped pan Indian flick 'KGF: Chapter 2'. Both these movies have a huge earning potential and the clash might limit their collections. It would be interesting to see how makers on the both side handle this situation.
