KVS screening, Nazeeruddin Shah Kannada film

One of the best films of ace actor of Indian cinema, especially Hindi cinema and theatre Nazeeruddin Shah debut in Kannada Thabbaliyu
Ninaade Magane` in the screenplay and direction of two giants BV Karanth and living legend Dr Girish Karnad is screened at KV Subbanna
Aptha Rangamandira on Sunday (2nd July) at 5.30 pm.

The film is a confrontation between east and west. The mute mother represents the unchanging tradition of the village and American daughter
in law, with modern technology to revolutionize dairy farming. The cow veneratedby Hindus, becomes the symbol of the struggle between the
two ways of life. The protagonist is torn between his heritage and his belief. The alien culture gets a defeat. The plight of the
protagonist is also too late situation to return back to his roots.

This film based on Dr SL Byrappa who is known for treatment of traditional themes. This film was made in both Kannada and Hindi by Maharaja
Movies.

AK Bir handled camera, Bhasker Chandavarkar scored music. Nazeeruddin Shah playing the lead, the other actors included Maanu, Sunder Raj,
Nagabharana, Paula Lindse and others.

This TNM` is 145 minutes screened at KVS Aptha Rangamandira situated at151, 7th cross Teachers colony 1st stage Near Dayananda Sagar
college, opposite Vasudha Bhavan, Bangalore 78.
