Salman Khan sent his fans into a frenzy when he publicly confirmed a sequel to his blockbuster film 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' and also announced its title. However, director and writer of the film were quite stunned by these announcement since they were not aware of these developments. In a recent conversation with a news outlet, 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' writer, KV Vijayendra Prasad stated that he had pitched the idea of a sequel to Salman but he hadn't responded.
Prasad told Mid-Day, “At the time, I didn’t get a yes or no from him. I didn’t know whether he had liked the story as he did not say anything, nor did he respond later." He further added that Salman never talked to him about the title 'Pawan Putra Bhaijaan' which he announced publicly.
Director Kabir Khan also responded to these announcements earlier by saying that Salman didn't follow the protocol of official announcements in this case. Talking about the sequel, Kabir said, "Pawan Putra Bhaijaan is what Salman is calling it. It is definitely being written, He mentioned that it is happening because he is excited. I have not read the script, but Vijendra sir will (always) write something exciting."
