Close on the heels of good opening for his Pudhupettai, Dhanush is all geared up to commence his next venture. This time it would be a remake. The blockbuster Kannada movie Jogi which ran for over 100 days in Karnataka will be remade in Tamil featuring Dhanush in the lead role.

It is said that Rajinikanth saw Jogi and was impressed with the commercial elements in the movie. He immediately urged Dhanush to do the Tamil remake. Choreographer Raju Sundaram will wield the megaphone for the movie.

Buzz is that popular Kannada actress Ramya, who had earlier acted in movies like Kuthu and Giri, is tipped to play Dhanush's ladylove. Dhanush has been convinced of casting her in the movie, while Raju Sundaram is reportedly keen to have her playing the heroine's role in the film. She did the original in Kannada.

After Simbhu in Kuthu,she now pairs with Dhanush.
