While the public sentiment is against liquor after the death of anti liquor activist Sasi Perumal all the political parties, but for the ruling party in Tamil Nadu have started supporting Prohibition of liquor in the state.

However, actress Kushboo who is also the official spokesperson of Congress party in Tamil Nadu has said that prohibition of liquor in Tamil Nadu is not possible and if it has to be possible it should be implemented across the country and not just in one state.

Ironically Kushboo`s such opinion expressed in an interview to a private channel has come at a time when her party`s Tamil Nadu wing leader EVKS Ilangovan has voiced support to the protest seeking ban on liquor.

Clarifying about this she said reiterated that we cannot ask for a prohibition like other parties and those parties and even people who seek prohibition of liquor are well aware that it is not possible.

A few years back Kushboo landed in a huge controversy for her open comments on premarital sex. However, she has never bowed down to bashers and has always been voicing her opinion without fear of backlash.
