Kushboo on Monday presented a petition to the Chennai Police Commissioner, R Nataraj, pleading for action against the Indian edition of a London-based magazine, Maxim, for publishing an 'immodest' picture of hers in its latest edition.

Kushboo visited the city police chief's office yesterday and submitted a petition to Nataraj.

Later, she told newsmen briefly that she had requested the police official to take immediate action on her petition. The quantum of damages sought from the magazine was yet to be decided, she said.

Last week, the actress had said that the magazine had committed an 'unpardonable' act and their offer of apology was not 'acceptable' to her. The publication of such a morphed picture had come as a 'rude shock' to her, she had said.

Her lawyer, Karthikeyan, had already said that a criminal defamation suit would be filed in the court of the Chief metropolitan magistrate in the city, a criminal complaint against the publisher with the police and a suit claiming damages in the High Court.
