After the verdict from the court coming her way, Kushboo has decided to take the plunge in to active politics by working for ruling party of Tamil Nadu, DMK.

Sources say, Kushboo has been meeting DMK leaders for quite sometime and had two rounds of discussions with DMK leaders. She met the DMK supremo and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, M.Karunanidhi in the evening today to enroll herself as a primary member of the party. Sources further add that she could be made a member of the state’s legislative council.

Sources say she is an ardent fan of Chief Minister Karunanidhi and has a lot of respect for him and his ideals. She would definitely work on the development of the party in the state.

In the posts of IndiaGlitz, it was reported that Kushboo was quite interested in joining politics after the judgement of the honourable Supreme Court of her case on her controversial remarks on premarital sex in 2005.

Sources add that she has been active in social welfare especially in areas of HIV/AIDS, Cancer, etc. With entry in politics Kushboo will have a broader scope to work better. Kushboo has quite a fan following in Tamil Nadu. A fact known to most Tamil film followers, fans went to the extent of even building a temple for her, at the peak of her career.
