'Kuruvi' Vs 'Kanthaswamy'

That the distribution rights of Vijay – Trisha starrer ‘Kuruvi’ was sold to a whooping amount in Kerala is not the news. The latest sensation in Kollywood is that the comparison between Vikram – Shriya starrer ‘Kanthaswamy’ and ‘Kuruvi’ in terms of Kerala rights.

It is said that director Susi Ganesan’s ‘Kanthaswamy’ was sold to Rs 2 crore as opposed to director Dharani’s ‘Kuruvi’. The news obviously stunned ‘Kuruvi’ team, which was in a delighted mood after getting a record amount for a Vijay film in Kerala. Sources close to the Kerala Distributors Association has however, clarified that the news on ‘Kanthaswamy’ is not a confirmed one. This has made ‘Kuruvi’ team has a sigh of relief.

Though there is no official information from ‘Kanthaswamy’ unit so far, it is expected that they might reveal the exact amount fetched by the movie in Kerala soon.

The competition between the two biggies slated for summer release has just begun.
