Kupwara terrorist encounter: Four security personnel killed

During an encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir today, four security personnel, including an officer, were martyred at the Kupwara district, according to reports.

During a search operation conducted at the Babagund area of Kupwara for the presence of terrorists, the officials died after a terrorist who was presumed dead, emerged from under the debris of a destroyed house and started firing at the personnel. Security forces reported that two terrorists were also killed in the process.

The raid was reportedly conducted early this morning after information about the presence of terrorists in the area was received. Four other people who were involved in the clash are apparently injured.
