Music director turned hero GV Prakash was last seen in the musical entertainer Sarvam Thaala Mayam directed by Rajiv Menon and with music by AR Rahman. The movie had mostly won favorable reviews from critics and audience alike.

Following the good reviews for his performance as Peter in the movie, GV Prakash is all geared up for his next release Kuppathu Raja the directorial debut of dance choreographer Baba Baskar and this movie was announced officially as an April 5 release. The movie also stars R. Parthiepan.

Now it has been announced that Watchman, also starring GV Prakash in lead role will hit screens on April 12, making it two releases for GV Prakash in a span of just two weeks. The movie directed by AL Vijay is a thriller also starring Yogi Babu and Sayyeshaa has performed in the special promo song of the movie.
