The recent inaugural ceremony of National Games went to controversy largely due to the 'Lalisom music programme and the presentation of skit 'Kunjali marikkar. The two programmes which were criticised to be substandard was largely booed by the audiences and Mohanlal even returned the money he was paid for his' Lalisom'.

But the show director T K Rajeevkumar was also said to receive around twenty lakhs for the presentation of 'Kunjali Marikkar skit, which was also criticised as the promo of his new upcoming film featuring Mohanlal with the same title.

Anyhow what we hear now is that T K Rajeev Kumar is planning to drop the movie. According to the director he has decided not to go on with the movie, mainly due to the controversy it has laded upon. It is not yet clear whether any other Mollywood director will take up the project later.
