For someone without a godfather in the industry, Puri Jagannadh became one for Raghu Kunche. Not many know that it was this star director who made him a singer first and, later, a music director. "I owe it to Puri Jagannadh. I am a person made by him. From the muddy road, he has put me on the highway (of success)," a happy Kunche said with a glint in his eyes.
He was all praise for his lyricist, Bhaskarabhatla. "He took great amount of care to write lyrics for 'Adapilla makoddane' song. I cannot forget the effort he has put in for the film. I wish that our journey will go on forever," he said.
Kunche debuted as a music director with Bumper Offer (2009). He has since lent music for only three films, including DCM. Aha Naa Pellanta and Daggaraga Dooramga, in 2011, were not musical hits. Having scored some catchy tunes in DCM, he seems to have arrived.
