Actor Kunchakko Boban, who was the heartthrob of the youth of the state, a couple of year back, is now turning to production of films. The heir of famous Udhaya studios, he will keep up the tradition, with the new production in the banner of Udhaya which will be directed by a debutante, Aashik Abu.

The film will have Mammootty as the protagonist, playing the role of a police officer, the 26th one in his career. But the film will be more a humorous satire which is based on the relationship between a cricket loving police officer and a star cricket player.

Expected to start next march, the film will be completed in a schedule. Little is known about whether the producer turned actor, will have a credit in the cast list?
