Veteran actress Vasanthi passed away today following multiple organ failure at a private hospital in Kerala. The actress who lost her father and husband due to cancer had been fighting against her illness all alone. Though Vasanthi’s helpless situation was reported in several TV channels, Mollywod industry had completely abandoned the actress. 

Apart from Women in Cinema Collective (WCC) and a few film actors, not many from the industry came forward to lend a helping hand to the legendary actress. And now, after the Vasanthi passed away, many celebrities poured in to her home at Thodupuzha today to pay homage. Meanwhile, few others took to social media sharing their condolences. 

Mollywood actor Kunchacko Boban’s posted an emotional note on his official Facebook page, asking forgiveness from the departed soul. “Seeking her forgiveness for aill-timed support, I pay homage to Thodupuzha Vasanthi.  an actress who dedicated her life to acting," (translated from Malayalam) wrote Kunchacko Boban.
