It was two decades ago, actor Kunchacko Boban made his entry to Malayalam cinema with the film Aniyathi Pravu directed by Fazil, and won the hearts of everyone, especially women. Released in 1997, the film was a super hit and gave Chackochan a handful of opportunities as a Chocolate hero. Recently, in a TV game show hosted by actor Suresh Gopi, the actor was asked about his first remuneration. To which, Kunchacko Boban revealed that he received a sum of rupees 50000 for the movie.

Though he acted as a child artiste in the 1981 movie Dhanya, Kunchacko Boban made his debut as a hero in Aniyathipravu.

Later the actor played a lead role in several superhits such as 'Niram', 'Kasturiman', 'Swapnakoodu', 'Dost', 'Nakshatrathaarat', etc. After a short break, he made a comeback in cinema playing strong characters in movies such as Traffic, Take Off, Anjaam Paathira, Nizhal, Mohankumar Fans, Virus, and many others. Recently he won accolades for his role in the nayattMartin Prakkat movie 'Nayattu'. The actor has a handful of movies in the pipeline too.
