Kumud Mishra pretended to be a sex patient for his role in Dr Arora

Kumud Mishra is an incredibly talented actor who has given several nuanced yet underrated performances in his career. He will soon be seen playing the lead in a web show titled 'Dr Arora'. This Sony LIV comedy drama will feature Kumud in the role of a sexologist and in a recent media interaction, he revealed what his tboughts were before taking up the role and how he prepped for it.

Naturally the actor was initially hesitant to play a sexologist. He told IANS, "Initially, when I heard the one-liner, I was interested to know the story, but at the back of my mind, naturally I had an inhibition. A subject like this where the central character is a sexologist was interesting and risky too. If the treatment is not right, everything can go wrong.”

Kumud Mishra further shared that he visited some clinics pretending to be a patient in order to prepare for his part. He stated, “After hearing the story, even though I had enough details to understand the world of Dr. Arora, as an actor I had to do my research work too. So I visited a couple of clinics and interacted with sexologists pretending to be a patient.”

'Dr Arora' will release on Sony LIV on 22nd of July.
