Karthi and Rakul Preet film crew caught up in heavy rains and landslides

Kulu Manali and its neighbouring areas have witnessed heavy rains and landslides just like Kerala a few weeks ago. Local people say that such a disastrous natural calamity is happening after 28 years The shooting of 'Dev' starring Karthi and Rakul Preet Singh which was underway there has been cancelled with 140 crew and cast members stranded there. The loss has been estimated at one and a half crores by Lakshman of Prince Pictures.
Karthi has stated that he was travelling in his car towards the shooting spot when the heavy downpour happened and landslides started. The star himself witnessed rocks and boulders being dislodged from the mountains and hurtling down. After being stuck four to five hours in heavy traffic Karthi was then taken by foot to a nearby village and is staying there. Still there is no word about the rest of the crew and the hero has expressed his anxiety over their well being and hopes they all get food and stay as road clearance is possible only after 28 hours.
'Dev' is an action adventure film directed by Rajath Ravi Shankar starring Karthi, Karthik, Rakul Preet Singh and Ramya Krishnan.
