Prominent writer-journalist Kuldip Nayar has died in New Delhi on Thursday. He was 95 and had no major health complaint. Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan has paid rich tributes to the departed soul.
"I am saddened at the loss. Kuldip Nayar ji stood for highest journalistic values and always expressed his social, political and other views boldly. His works such as 'Beyond The Lines' reflected the reality of the day and age. He bravely fought the Emergency. He was not only a High Commissioner of India to London and a Rajya Sabha MP (nominated), but also was associated with human rights movements. I condole the death of Nayar ji," Pawan Kalyan said.
"Kuldip Nayar was an intellectual giant of our times. Frank and fearless in his views, his work spanned across many decades. His strong stand against the Emergency, public service and commitment to a better India will always be remembered. Saddened by his demise. My condolences," Prime Minister Narendra Modi said.
