Last month, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao stated in the Assembly that Telugu films where the hero uses Telangana dialect are becoming hits (in an allusion to movies like 'Jathi Ratnalu'). He said that things have taken a 180-degree turn from the time when only comedians used to speak in the dialect.
A similar opinion was expressed by his son and Minister KT Rama Rao at a public meeting in Warangal on Wednesday. He even made an overt reference to 'DJ Tillu', the recent February hit. 'Atluntadhi manathoni', KTR said, imitating Siddhu Jonnalagadda from the comedy caper.
The video clip is going viral currently.
'DJ Tillu', directed by Vimal Krishna, was made by Sithara Entertainments. The film became an expected hit at the box office. KTR's comments suggest that he is a movie buff, something he has never made any secret of. In the past, he used to review superstar movies on Twitter to encourage his friends such as Mahesh Babu and Rana Daggubati.
