KTR is now more popular than KCR: Pollster

It's a forgone conclusion that KTR is going to succeed his father in the coming decade or so as the CM candidate of TRS. But, if a pollster is to be believed, it may be wise for the ruling party to project KTR as the CM candidate in the 2023 Assembly elections itself.
Yashwant Deshmukh of C-Voter, appearing on Mojo, said that KTR is more popular than his father among Telangana's voters as things stand today. "I can't divulge the numbers. But I can say that the son is more popular," the pollster said.
His observations may have to be taken with a truckload of salt, as C-Voter went horribly wrong in predicting Telangana's poll outcome in 2018. The polling agency said that Congress will win a landslide and TRS will be trounced in the Assembly elections. The opposite happened, with TRS winning nearly 20% more vote-share than what C-Voter had predicted.
The pollster has also predicted in his latest analysis that KCR will most likely win a historical mandate in 2023. Is he saying that KTR is bigger than a leader who will ensure a historic third term for the TRS? Sounds bizarre!
