The pre-release event of 'Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi', directed by 'Pelli Choopulu' fame Tharun Bhascker, was held on Monday evening. Telangana Minister KTR was the chief guest. D Suresh Babu, Rana Daggubati, Mohankrishna Indraganti, Madhura Sreedhar, Raj Kandukuri, and the film's cast and crew members too graced the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, KTR said, "Since the Telangana Government celebrates Handloom Monday every week, when Tharun Bhascker invited me to this event, I made my presence contingent upon everybody who attends the event wearing handloom attire. Coming to this film, I was a bit scared when I heard the title is 'Ee Nagaraniki Emandi?' It's because this is a commonplace headline in newspapers during the rainy season and I am a Municipal Minister. But I came to know that the film is about something else. I know Tharun's family members so well.
When Suresh Babu garu invited me to watch the movie, I went to Ramanaidu Studios to watch it. The newcomers have done a terrific job. Even though his first film was a big hit, Tharun has not worked with big stars for his second. He has once again worked with less-known actors. I love road movies, buddy comedies. 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' and 'Dil Chahta Hai' are among my favourite movies. Tharun is leading the change that is happening in Telugu cinema. It's good to see so many youngsters trying to change the industry at the same time. I hope this film will become a bigger hit than even 'Pelli Choopulu'."
Rana Daggubati said, "Tharun was my junior in college. He is sans any sense of arrogance, unlike the students of his alumnus college. I like him a lot personally. This industry tends to corrupt newcomers. But Tharun has let himself remain uncorrupted and has made 'ENE' with less-known faces. I am very happy that Suresh Productions has produced this movie."
Tharun Bhascker hailed Suresh Babu for encouraging independent filmmakers. He hailed the producer as a modern and farsighted producer who has no ego. "There is so much to learn from him. It's not enough to thank him. He is trying to change the mindset of the Telugu audience.
I thank my actors for their full cooperation. I feel proud to have worked with these guys. Watching the movie, the audience will feel as if they are to a Goa trip. I thank my wife Latha Tharun for her work (as a production designer). I thank my editor Raviteja Girijala, who has been a good friend of mine. Vivek Sagar knows no other world than music. I think he is going to touch this generation the way Ilaiyaraaja garu and AR Rahman touched their listeners," the director said.
