Ever since his emergence, veteran Director K.S.Ravikumar has always been a much sought after character artist in Kollywood. His performance as Dhanush's father suffering from frequent memory loss problem in 'Thangamagan' was much appreciated and that was his last release in Tamil as an actor.

Presently KSR, who is busy directing his next film 'Mudinja Ivana Pudi' with Sudheep and Nithya Menen in lead roles is acting in an important role in Sivakarthikeyan-Keerthy Suresh starrer 'Remo'. Recently a gesture he did for the film has left the film's producer RD Raja as well as the entire 'Remo' unit stunned and speechless.

Ravikumar was being paid on a day to day basis for each day of his call-sheet as per the industry norms. Recently the highly talented actor had completed his portions for the day within a couple of hours and the production team paid him as per the accepted terms.

Within few hours the production team received a call from Ravikumar offering to return half of the money paid to him for the day as he worked only for an hour or so. Though the producers hesitated, the 'Padiyappa' director stood his ground and returned one half of his remuneration for that day.

Speaking about this. a highly overwhelmed RD Raja who is producing this film on a huge budget under his 24AM Studios banner said "This is definitely an unheard episode in the industry. Ravikumar sir has truly proved why he is one of the most respected in film industry. his professional ethics and humanity is the hallmark of his character. For me, as a producer with aspiring to make many films of quality and content, it is a learning experience human values and professionalism"

Indiaglitz praises Ravikumar for this unprecedented kind gesture. He has set an example of professionalism and humanity for not only the members of film fraternity but all other professions.
