Veteran director K.S.Ravikumar and Karpagam Ravikumar celebrated their Sashtiyabthapoorthy function at the auspicious Thirukkadayoor temple today.

Today is Ravikumars's 60th star birthday. Sahstyiyabthapoorthy is celebrated when a person completes 60 years of age according to Hindu tradition. .

The function was held as a close family affair where Ravikumar exchanged the garlands with his wife and also tied the Mangal Sutra as per the rituals.

The director who has given many blockbuster hits with the stalwarts of Tamil cinema is known to be a people's director as well as producer's director as he is famous for finishing the film within the agreed deadline and the budget. For close to three decades now, he has been directing films in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi languages.
