Kriti Sanon: “I’m so glad we did this” on Mimi to Mummy transformation!

A Maddock Films production, Produced by Dinesh Vijan, directed by Laxman Utekar starring Kriti Sanon, Panjak Tripathi, and Sai Tamhankar, starts streaming 30th July 2021 onwards on Jio Cinema and Netflix., starring Kriti Sanon who is in and as “Mimi” along with the simple yet effective acting maestro Pankaj Tripathi! The production released a behind-the-scenes sneak-peek to the world sharing the journey of Kriti from Mimi to Mummy!

The trailer made this film one of the most anticipated of 2021 and seeing Kriti as a female lead for the first time does give us the chills! But even she, as an actress has put in a lot of effort in the making of the role as a pregnant woman, as Mimi. So this transition does look easy to the eye, but it isn’t! 

Gaining weight has a lot of repercussions/consequences and despite all that, the confidence Kriti has is just so very admirable! To get the right vibe for the role, they had to make Kriti look like a pregnant Mimi and I guess, they got it right! 

Kriti literally had to gain around 15 kilos for the role and she exclaims that “I was eating burgers, KFC, chocolate shakes, chips and fried stuff and everything you were asked not to have!” The output looks very real-life like and kudos to the makers who made it real! More kudos to the people who served Kriti the food every single day for two whole months! 

But yeah, on the whole, we also cannot say that she wouldn’t have enjoyed this goddess-like treatment! Kriti said, “Honestly, when today I see the difference on screen, I’m so glad that we did this.”
