Throughout the pandemic, we have seen several movies postponing their releses dates as the situations were not favourable for theatres to open. However, yesterday (probably for the first time in the pandemic) a film was released before than it should have. Kriti's Sanon's 'Mimi', which was supposed to release on 30th of July, had to prepone its release to 26th of July.
Apparantly, the film leaked online on platforms like telegram four days before its release. To contain the effects of piracy as low as possible, makers decided to stream the film as early as possible. Kriti Sanon shared a video on social media announcing the new time and date of the release. The film went live at 6:30 pm on Monday.
This is a pretty big film for Kriti Sanon as this is the first time she is leading the cast. The story revolves around her character who agrees to be a surrogate mother for a foreign couple but things turn bad for her. Pankaj Tripathi plays her friend who also provides comic relief to the film.
