Contrasting to the rumors that she was away from the arch lights because of lack of success, Kriti Kharbanda reveals that she took a break to cope up with multiple personal tragedies. Kriti, who has been missing in action in Kannada for a while, is set to begin shooting for her new film Papu, a family drama directed by Mahender.

Putting rumors to rest, Kriti says, 'I did not take up any assignment over the last few months. The shooting schedules of my films went chaotic due to various reasons and I had to take a break, which helped me to cope with several personal tragedies in these months. I lost three of my grandparents recently and it was emotionally disturbing and affected me a lot.'
