Krithi Shetty, who played Sarpanch Naga Lakshmi in 'Bangarraju', is on a roll. She is now paired up with senior actor Suriya, who is the dream hero for many upcoming actresses down South.
On Monday, Suriya-Jyothika's production house 2D Entertainment announced that the untitled project will be helmed by acclaimed director Bala of 'Pithamagan' fame. "Krithi will be essaying a well-etched role in the movie. Bala's heroines have always been accorded pride of place in the story. The 'Shyam Singha Roy' and 'Uppena' actress is expected to have landed a strong role in keeping with Bala's track record," a source says. The film went on the floors today and will probably hit the screens in the last quarter of this year.
Krithi, besides doing the Tamil project which will be dubbed into other languages, is also doing Sudheer Babu's 'Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali', which is a Mohankrishna Indraganti directorial. Nithiin's 'Macharla Niyojakavargam' and Ram Pothineni's 'The Warrior' are among her other projects. The former is directed by MS Raja Shekhar Reddy, while the latter is helmed by N Lingusamy, who, like Bala, is a Kollywood filmmaker.
