Last years global hit 'Wonder Woman' directed by Patty Jenkins and starring Gal Gadot in the titular role was one big show of woman power creating many records on its way to the top.  The sequel 'Wonder Woman 2' will begin principle shooting soon with both the star and the director returning.

Patty Jenkins has confirmed that Kristen Wiig has been brought on board to play the main villain Cheetah a recurring character in the comic books.  She has gushed "So excited to confirm the most thrilling news. Yes! It’s true! So incredibly lucky to welcome the sensationally talented Kristen Wiig to our Wonder Woman family. Can't wait to finally work with one of my favorites. And SO excited by what we have planned. Cheetah! 

Gal Gadot has also posted "I’m SO excited welcome on board Kristen! This is going to be wonderful ! ".  Wiig who is so far known for her comedic role is a surprise casting indeed in a terrfying villain role which is going to be very exciting for the November 2019 release 'Wonder Woman 2'.
