Krishne Gowda hits back

The parallel Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce president Krishne Gowda never misses the chances of hitting back at his detractors.

On Monday at the media briefing of producer Krishnappa film ‘Chinnada Gombe’ Krishne Gowda was present because the film title was registered in his KFCC. On Karnataka government and Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy announcing Rs.10 lakhs award to national and international acclaim director Manirathnam, he raised objection. Where was the need to give such felicitation? Sa Ra Govindu, Vatal Nagaraj and others are keeping quiet on this decision. We had many achievers in our state he stated.

On the recent collective decision to stop feeding films to UFO and Qube from March 2, Krishne Gowda said the process of declaring no films from March 2 is incorrect. The exhibitor sectors should announce such decision. If the cinema halls are vacant who is going to look at their problems he asks.

On support to the producers who have registered titles in his KFCC, Krishne Gowda says good support is extended to producers at the time of release. We cannot make the theatres to fill. It is only the film quality that brings audience to the theatres he pointed.
