It is, for starters, a long album with eight songs. The credits show a line up of five lyricists and in case you wondered what for, then listen to the album and you will know why. MM Keeravani attempts to do something that he hasn't done before - peppier and new-age music, quite in contrast to the melodious music that he is usually associated with. He even confessed during the audio release function that he had asked his younger assistants for tips on getting the tracks right, so that they reached out to the target audience. Given that it is a young hero's film, the idea was to do something that was energetic and unlike something that one already listened from Keeravani. So here are the tracks:
Thruvvata baba
Singers: Tippu
Lyricist: Jonnavithula Ramaligeswar Rao
Tippu sings this peppy number really well and we can only imagine Vishnu dancing for it. Keeravani reaches out to the young audience with the very first song. The way he has used the opening lyrics of the song and carried the track forward is really something that only a music director of his caliber could do.
Yamaranju meedha
Singers: Manchu Manoj Kumar, Tippu, Sunitha
Lyricist: Guru Charan
Another item song by Tippu. Of course, this also has Sunita giving the female playback. But the real highlight of the song is the rap version of their father's famous dialogue that Manchu Manoj Kumar sings in between. Incidentally, the lyrics were penned by his friend during an informal chat and Vishnu and Manoj decided to incorporate them into the song.
Aaa eee
Singers: Shankar Mahadevan
Lyricist: Ramajogayya Sastry
None of the top music directors these days bring out an album without a song by Shankar Mahadevan. This is a mass number and a solo song by Mahadevan along with chorus. He is his usual best.
Pedda marrikemo
Singers: Nagur Babu
Lyricist: Ramajogayya Sastry
This is reminiscent of the tracks of the yore. The song is more like a conversation and Nagur Babu sings it beautifully, lending voice for both the characters in the song. It is not surprising, knowing his versatility, but this one's really nice on the ears. It belongs to a totally different genre of music that is rarely heard of these days and that adds an interesting touch to the album.
Buggalerapadda
Singers: MM. Keeravani, Mamata Mohan Das
Lyricist: Sahithi
As always, Keeravani sings one of the songs. Only this time, he has the lead girl and singer Mamata Mohandas singing along. A fusion of Western and Bhangra beats, this is another intended item song. Though he usually sings melodious numbers, Keeravani does a volte face and turns youthful and sings it himself.
Aaja Mehbooba
Singers: Achu, Geethamadhuri
Lyricist: Sahithi
In this one, Keeravani tries to use the middle-Eastern tunes to suit the lyrics, which are a mix of Hindi and Telugu. Geeta Madhuri and Achu put in a spirited performance, but it is not very appealing.
Yedi manchi yedi maila
Singers: Madhu Balakrishnan
