Krishnam Raju, who was born in January 1940, passed away on September 11 at a private hospital in Hyderabad. Known for the moniker Rebel Star, the 83-year-old actor's demise has seen in its wake an outpouring of grief. A fan of his has sculpted a life-like statue and exhibited his creation at an art exhibition held in Ongole on Saturday.
The National Art Exhibition was organized at the famous Ambedkar Bhavan by the cultural organization, Srishti Arts Academy. The statue, which looks life-like and solidly creative, was put up for everyone to revel in it.
The artist, named Krishna, hails from Pithapuram. Speaking about his creation, he said that he toiled for 30 days to create it.
In other news, Telangana Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav recently said that a statue of the actor will be put up at Film Nagar in his memory. Krishnam Raju's legacy is being celebrated in many ways by the Telugu film industry as well.
