Send us your feedback to audioarticles@vaarta.com
Veteran actor Krishnam Raju, who celebrates his birthday on Saturday, says in this interview that he is ready to act. He also talks about when Prabhas' next with Radhakrishna will go on the floors.
Now that you have completed 50 years in the industry, how are you planning to celebrate it?
Tomorrow on my birthday, I will spend time with some of the fans and well-wishers who have stood by me over the years. Yes, there are plans afoot to hold an event to thank everyone for being with me over the last 5 decades.
It's a great thing in itself to have been in the industry for this long. Can we expect to see more of you in films?
Definitely. Contrary to the rumours that I am not interested in doing films, I am very much keen on doing roles that excite me. I did 'Yevade Subrahmanyam', for example.
You eulogized Narendra Modi at the audio release function of 'Baahubali-2'. What are your political plans?
My idea is to render services to the Bharatiya Janata Party under the leadership of Modi garu.
You are going to co-produce Prabhas's next. We are hearing contrarian things about when it will go on the floors. What is the truth?
As you know, director Radhakrishna is working on the script along with his team. We are planning to take the film on the floors after 'Saaho'.
The mandatory question: When is Prabhas getting married?
It's embarrassing a bit to answer this question in every interview (smiles). Prabhas will get married this year. He is willing for that.
This is an interesting time when prominent actors - Pawan Kalyan, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan - are in politics. What do you think will they achieve?
I have nothing specific to say about it. Everybody would have a personal opinion about such things.
What is your take on the current state of Telugu cinema?
Thanks to 'Baahubali', our industry is being talked about everywhere. It's a proud development.
