Krishnaleelai
A former associate of director Shankar, Selvan is ready and raring to go with `Krishnaleelai'. Though his maiden venture Soori starring Vignesh won critical acclaims, it disappeared without any trace at the box office.
After a brief lay-off, Selvan is back in the hunt with `Krishnaleelai'. What more, the movie is produced by veteran film-maker K Balachander's Kavithalaya.
Selvan hopes `Krishnaleelai' will provide him the right break. 'It is an action-packed film loaded with romance. The whole unit has given its best for the movie'.
Music by Srikanth Deva is the highlight of the movie. The film has half-a-dozen songs, which are different from each other, Selvan says.
All the songs have come out well. I am confident that I would go on to top the audio-charts, he said and added, 'I should thank my producers Pushpa Kandaswamy and K Balachander, who encouraged me from the word go and gave their inputs to complete the movie in a grand manner'.
A song shot at Phuket Island has come out well, he added.
It is about an angry youth falling in love and how he do away with a gang of baddies. We chose the `Krishnaleelai' since Lord Vishnu in his Krishna avatar won a war over evil without fighting or shedding any blood, said Selvan.
When I penned the script, I decided Jeevan should do the lead role. I mooted the suggestion to Jeevan, who readily agreed to it, he said.
'Meghna is equally impressive. She has given her best though it is her maiden venture. She has a major stay in the film', adds Selvan.
The rest of the cast includes Karunas, Ganja Karuppu and Sarath Babu.
