Balakrishna is said to have finally zeroed in on two names: Krishna Vamsi, and Krish. One of these will direct his 100th movie. One is a maverick whose no two films have been alike. Oh! Wait. This applies to the other one, too.

The Nandamuri hero is said to be doing a cost-benefit analysis as of now. He will take a final call in a week's time. 14 Reels Entertainment and Sai Korrapati are keen on producing his 100th film in the direction of Krishna Vamsi. On the other hand, if it is Krish, he will produce the film himself.

Balayya must be mainly undecided about which genre to choose, rather than which director to go for.

After seriously toying with the idea of doing a sci-fi with Singeetham, he must be dilly-dallying over the genre. If it's Krish, so goes the speculation, it will be a historical based on the saga of the Satavahanas. If it's Krishna Vamsi, it's not going to be a historical for sure. If the Nandamuri Nata Simha is looking at a larger-than-life, grand flick, he might well go for Krish as a historical would meet the criteria. On the other hand, Krishna Vamsi can be asked to go for a genre that is a cross between raw reality and an element of the fantastic, if Balayya likes to have it. Krishna Vamsi's sense of hero characterization befits the image of a Balayya. Krish is subtle. Our bets, thus, are on Krishna Vamsi.

Importantly, while Nagarjuna is the only big star with whom KV has worked (read Ninne Pelladatha) and delivered a blockbuster (Mahesh was not a superstar when Murari happened), Krish has no experience handling a big star.

Balakrishna's fans must be having their fingers crossed for sure!
