Krishna Vamsi refutes rumour about Ranga Maarthaanda

The other day, Krishna Vamsi announced a film starring Prakash Raj and Ramya Krishna in the lead roles. The 2016 Marathi hit 'Natasamrat' will be remade by him as 'Ranga Maarthaanda'.

Amidst reports that Paruchuri Brothers have been roped in to complete its script, the acclaimed director has said that there is no truth in the rumour. "It's wrong news," the director today said.

What is the film's premise? "The film depicts the tragic family life of a stage actor who has retired from acting but is unable to forget his fond memories of theatre and the stage," says a Wiki post about the Marathi original.

The film is produced by Abhishek Jawkar and Madhu Kalipu, and will be shot from December.
