PV Krishna Reddy, the MD of Megha Engineering and Infrastructure, has supplied three crore litres of oxygen for free to hospitals in parts of India. The donation made by the entrepreneur has been seen as a great humanitarian gesture.
Previously, Reddy had donated a large sum of Rs 5 Cr to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Considered one of the richest mining and irrigation contractors in south India, Reddy has recently imported cryogenic containers from foreign countries and gave them to the KCR government for use. They were 11 in number.
NDTV today reported that three Cryogenic Oxygen Tankers from Thailand were loaded into India's defence aircraft that flew in from Chandigarh into Bangkok.
The rest eight tankers are yet to arrive.
