Krishna Kumari passed away

One of the yesteryears actresses of South Indian films Krishna Kumari elder sister of Sowcar Janaki passed away on Wednesday morning at her Krishna Kumar Estate residence in Bengaluru. The 85 years actress was suffering from bone cancer. According to family member the cremation will take place on Thursday morning.

A beautiful actress Krishna Kumar is survived by her daughter Deepika, son in law Vikram and grandson Pawan. The early 50 and 60’s actress acted in top stars of south Indian films NTR, Akkineni Nageshwara Rao, Dr Rajakumar, Sivaji Ganeshan, Jaggayya and others.

Krishna Kumar made debut in 1951in a Telugu film in Navvithe Navaratnalu. She went on to act in over 225 films in her career in South Indian cinema industry.

In Kannada Krishna Kumari acted in Bhaktha Kanakadasa, Asha Sundari, Dashavathara, Srishaila Mahatme, Bhakta Kabeera, Swarna Gowri, Chandra Kumara, Sathi Savithri and others.
