'Manikarnika', the historical biopic on Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi, is currently on the floors. Kangana Ranaut is playing the titular role in this 27 April 2018 release.

The news is that a team of Hollywood action trainers recently flew down to Hyderabad to train 300 local fighters in sword fighting and horse-riding. Krish wants everything to be authentic, especially so as to match the high standards of Bollywood.

Kangana had got trained in stunts from Nick Powell of Hollywood.

K Vijayendra Prasad has written this one. He wrote the movie on the condition that Krish would be the director. 'Manikarnika', thus, is going to have a few surprises. One of them is that of the character Jhalkaribai, a warrior-soldier, who was an instrumental force in the Rani of Jhansi's army. One has to see what more Krish is going to show the world through his film. The story of Rani Laxmibai will be of interest a great number of youngsters.
