'Krack': Unexpected last-minute bombshell upsets trade

'Krack', which was supposed to hit the screens today (January 9), has played truant at the box-office. The film, which was proudly touted to be the biggest theatrical release in Ravi Teja's career, has ended up confusing and upsetting the distributors and exhibitors who have a stake in its 1000-screen release.
At the time of writing, even Evening shows were not confirmed. The producer of the mass masala flick is said to be in negotiations with a Kollywood distributor with whom he has had outstanding issues emanating from Vishal's 'Ayogya'. Legal hassles have to be cleared if the film is to release in theatres. Apparently, the trade is mighty disappointed.
After the morning shows were cancelled, feelers were sent out that early noon shows will commence for sure. Later, it was said that matinee shows are sure-shot to be there. As of now, nothing is certain. Commenting on the development, Andhra BO, a box-office tracker, has said that the film's distributors are angry about the negligence of the makers of 'Krack'. "This is a major damage during the weekend," the tracker commented.
Even if the film were to release on Sunday, it will have lost a precious day irreversibly.
