'Krack' Trailer: Ravi Teja's punchline-happy cop looks cool

'Ee mugguritho aadukundhi oke policeodu', gleefully declares Victory Venkatesh's voice at the start of Krack's trailer, introducing Ravi Teja's power-packed cop character. The Mass Maharaja plays a punchline-happy uniformed role named Potharaju Veera Shankar, a name he indulgently mouths in the style of iSmart Shankar.
Written and directed by Gopichand Malineni, this B Madhu production has Shruti Haasan as the heroine. The hero is constantly at loggerheads with the powerful and arrogant. "If you brag about your background, he will smash you," warns a character, courtesy dialogue-writer Sai Madhav Burra. The story seems to be set in Ongole.
Samuthirakani is one of the villains, while Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is another of the baddies. Thaman S's background score is electric. GK Vishnu is the film's cinematographer.
More than anyone else, fight masters Ram and Laxman seem to have had the most work. Lyrics are by Rama Jogaiah Sastry.
The makers haven't spelled out the release date. However, if the buzz is anything to go by, 'Krack' will hit the screens on January 9.
